How Drop-In Matching Floor Registers Work
The recessed top tray accepts a matching flooring insert so the visible surface can coordinate with the surrounding floor. Airwinks floor registers work with tile, hardwood, vinyl, laminate, carpet and other compatible flooring materials.
Choose the duct-opening size
Match the listed product size to the inside width and length of the opening.
Prepare the flooring insert
Use a compatible flooring material and follow the instructions on the product page.
Install the floor register
Complete the installation so the flooring insert coordinates with the surrounding floor.

Remove the existing register and measure the inside duct opening. Match the width and length to the listed Airwinks size.
Can Airwinks floor vent covers be used with carpet?
Yes. The floor matching design can coordinate with carpet as well as tile, hardwood, vinyl, laminate and suitable stone. Review the product instructions before preparing the insert.
Does the listed size include the outside frame?
No. The listed size refers to the nominal duct opening. The finished outside dimensions of the vent cover are larger.
Do the airflow flaps fully close the vent?
No. The built-in flaps are designed to adjust airflow; they are not intended to provide complete airflow shutoff.
Can a floor vent cover be used on a wall or ceiling?
Use the product made for the intended installation surface. Airwinks has separate wall and ceiling vent cover collections.
